Meet Chyanne Jackson: Wayne and Betty Edwards Scholarship Recipient
Growing up in the small town of Marianna, Florida, Chyanne Jackson dreamed of changing lives through healthcare, a dream she is now boldly pursuing as a standout dental hygiene student at Tallahassee State College.
Chyanne chose Tallahassee State because it offered more than an education. It offered a pathway: excellent academics, an encouraging community, and the affordability she needed to chase her goals without fear. Dental hygiene quickly became her calling. “Oral hygiene is often overlooked,” she explains, “but it’s vital to overall wellness. I want people to feel confident in their smiles and understand the power of preventive care.”
Her journey has not been easy, though. Balancing an intense course load while juggling financial and personal pressures has tested her in every way. But with grit and determination, she continues to rise.

What is Gift A Future?
Gift A Future is a part of TSC Foundation’s Annual Giving Campaign. This year, all donations will support the creation of TSC student scholarships. You can make an immediate difference by giving directly to an established scholarship at Tallahassee State College. Like the WFLA – Working for Limitless Achievement Scholarship that benefits students who are working their way through school but do not qualify for traditional financial aid.
By donating to an existing scholarship, you amplify its impact, helping even more students access education and resources. Contributions made to the TSC Foundation are tax-deductible. The TSC Foundation is a non-profit organization designated by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. You will be provided a letter of gift receipt for each contribution made.
