11 Tallahassee Community College faculty and staff have been recognized by the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) for their outstanding work. The following have been named recipients of the 2022 NISOD Excellence Award.

- Barbara Wills, Vice President, Administrative Services & Chief Business Officer
- Gigi Colverton, Advanced and Specialized Instructional Coordinator at the Florida Public Safety Institute
- Ginny Marsters, Professor, Dental Hygiene
- Ross Brooks, Professor, Math
- Albert Wynn, Associate Director, Wakulla Environmental Institute
- Desiree Gorman, Workforce Development Coordinator
- Karen Washington, Professor, Computer Literacy
Created in 1991, NISOD’s Excellence Awards recognize men and women each year who have demonstrated outstanding commitment and contribution to their students and colleagues. More than 30,000 people have been honored with the Award by their colleges since its establishment. Each college uses its own criteria to recognize those who have shown explementary dedication to student success and willingness to aid in the school’s growth.
Excellence Award recipients are recognized during NISOD’s annual International Conference on Teaching and Leadership Excellence which will be held May 28- 31, 2022 at the JW Marriott in Austin, Texas. All award recipients in attendance will be recognized during a dinner and celebration and will receive a unique silver medallion that is hung on a burnt-orange ribbon.
