Tallahassee Community College will unveil this year’s highly anticipated edition of The Eyrie magazine on April 17, 2024, at 7 p.m. in the Fine and Performing Arts Center (FPAC) on the main campus.
“This event marks the culmination of months of hard work and dedication by TCC students and Eyrie faculty advisor Nicolette Costantino,” said Donmetrie Clark, Dean of Communications and Humanities. “Under Costantino’s guidance, students have poured their passion and creativity into crafting a magazine that reflects the rich variety of talent of the TCC community.”
Founded in 1981 by two visionary students, The Eyrie has long been cherished as a platform for recognizing the creative efforts of TCC students, alumni, faculty, staff, and other college personnel. The magazine’s motto of quality, good taste, and creativity has encouraged a standard of excellence, where year-by-year readers are captivated by its content.
The Eyrie magazine has garnered widespread acclaim in previous years, winning numerous awards and accolades for its contributions to the literary landscape. In 2023 alone, the magazine won five awards and multiple honors for its 42nd edition from the Community College Humanities Association in the southern region, the Florida College System of Publications Association, and the Columbia Scholastic Press Association.
The unveiling event promises to be an evening of celebration, open to all members of the TCC community and the public. Attendees will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in this year’s edition of The Eyrie, which boasts a diverse array of student submissions, including poetry, photography, fiction, non-fiction, art, and more.
