The Tallahassee State College Office of Communications and Marketing earned multiple accolades at the recent Association of Florida Colleges (AFC) Awards for Excellence. The competition is hosted annually by the Communications and Marketing Commission to recognize outstanding achievements in marketing, public relations, and communications among Florida College System institutions.
TSC was honored with the Exemplary Practice Award for its comprehensive rebranding campaign, which included the College’s transition from Tallahassee Community College to Tallahassee State College. The campaign, which highlighted the College’s evolving identity while honoring its history, was praised for its creativity, strategic execution, and impactful messaging.
The College also earned the following honors:
- Gold in the Video and Photography Division in the Video of More Than 30 Seconds category for the Tallahassee State College rebrand commercial and Bronze in the Video Campaign category for the Virtual Campus Tour series.
- Gold in the Social Media Division for Unpaid/Organic Social Media category for the “That’s Not Our Name” Instagram Reel, and Silver for the “Aspire” Instagram Reel.
- Bronze in the Signage Division in the Outdoor Signage Category for the Tallahassee State College Brand Launch Billboards.
“These awards are a testament to the hard work and creativity of our team,” said Candice Grause, Chief of Staff and Vice President for Communications at TSC. “The rebrand was a major milestone for the College, and it’s incredibly rewarding to see the efforts behind it recognized with the Exemplary Practice Award.”
