Tallahassee State College will welcome over 2,000 new graduates to the alumni family during its commencement ceremony on Thursday, December 5, at 6 p.m. at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center. This marks the first graduating class of Tallahassee State College.
Eric Hall, Secretary of the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice, will deliver the keynote address. Destinee Britto, the Student Government Association President for 2024-25, will provide remarks on behalf of the student body.
In addition to the main commencement ceremony, the College has scheduled several special events to celebrate its graduates:
- Veterans Cord and Coin Ceremony: Wednesday, December 4, at 10 a.m. in the Veterans Success Center; honoring graduating veterans for their service to the nation and their academic achievements.
- Healthcare Professions Pinning Ceremony: Wednesday, December 4, at 5:30 p.m. in the Lifetime Sports Complex; a cherished tradition in the healthcare field, symbolizing the graduates' transition from students to professionals.
Additional ceremonies will recognize graduates from the public safety and workforce programs:
- Florida Public Safety Institute Graduations: Law enforcement program graduates on Friday, December 6, at 10 a.m. and fire program graduates on Wednesday, December 11, at 7 p.m., all at the Florida Public Safety Institute Conference Center.
- Workforce Development Healthcare Pinning: Tuesday, December 17 at 6 p.m., in the Workforce Development Ballroom on the main campus.
