Tallahassee Community College will host, in partnership with Florida A&M University and Florida State University, the Celebration of Women and Girls in STEM from 9 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 29, at FAMU Gaither Gymnasium.
The annual event aims to engage young girls in grades 5-12 in Leon, Gadsden, and Wakulla counties with women at various stages of their STEM careers to foster future mentor connections with K-12 students, undergraduate, and graduate women majoring in STEM fields, as well as women currently in the STEM workforce.
“We are honored to work alongside FAMU and FSU to present this annual event,” said Dr. Renee Gordon, STEM Program Director. “It is a great opportunity to showcase the many pathways students can choose while encouraging girls to confidently pursue their goals.”
