Tallahassee State College has been recognized as one of the most cost-effective options for online nursing education in America, according to a recent study conducted by university ranking site Research.com.
The study, which examined data from the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS), Peterson’s Data, College Scorecard, and the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), focused on several key factors, including program length, tracks and concentrations, cost per credit, required number of credits to graduate, and accreditations awarded.
“Being recognized as one of the most cost-effective options for online nursing education is a testament to our commitment to providing accessible, high-quality education,” said Dr. Calandra Stringer, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. “With the high demand for nurses in our region and state, we strive to provide advanced learning opportunities attainable for nursing students to ensure they receive exceptional training to meet this critical need.”
TSC’s four-year online nursing program is specifically designed for licensed nurses with an associate degree in nursing who aspire to advance their careers to higher-level positions, including leadership and management roles. The program offers a comprehensive curriculum that equips students with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the field of nursing.
A standout feature of TSC’s online nursing program is its accreditation. The program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). These accreditations ensure that students receive a high-quality education that meets rigorous standards set by industry professionals.
