Tallahassee State College (TSC) has been awarded $43,499 from the Florida College System Foundation (FCSF) to support scholarships for students pursuing their educational and career goals.
The Florida College System Foundation, established in 1994, has been awarding student scholarships across Florida’s 28 colleges since 1999. Each year, the Foundation provides more than $1 million in scholarships to help students access high-quality, affordable higher education while meeting workforce needs across the state.
“We are absolutely thrilled to receive this generous support from the Florida College System Foundation,” said Heather Mitchell, Executive Director of the TSC Foundation. “These dollars go directly to our students, helping them chase their dreams and focus on their studies. Every scholarship award changes the life of a student and we could not be more grateful.”
Karen Moore, Chair of the FCS Foundation Board and a member of the Tallahassee State College District Board of Trustees, emphasized the importance of this partnership. “At its core, the Foundation exists to open doors for students,” said Moore. “Seeing these dollars directly impact TSC students is incredibly rewarding.”
Amanda Roden, President and Executive Director of the Florida College System Foundation, noted the statewide reach of this initiative. “The Florida College System is the primary access point to higher education in our state, and these scholarships ensure that thousands of students can pursue degrees and workforce training that change lives, families, and communities,” Roden said.
The Florida College System Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and the official direct support organization for the Florida College System.
