Tallahassee State College will host a Human Trafficking Awareness Forum on Wednesday, January 29, starting at 11 a.m. in the Student Union Ballroom. This event aims to educate our campus community about the realities of human trafficking and empower individuals to take action against it.
The event will feature a panel discussion that includes representatives from Survive and Thrive Advocacy Center (STAC) and TSC Counseling Center representatives, as well as a student survivor. Each panelist will share their unique stories and insights, providing valuable perspectives on the issue of human trafficking. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with the panelists and ask questions, fostering a deeper understanding of this critical topic.
In addition to the panel discussion, a screening of the documentary "City of Dreams," which highlights the challenges and triumphs faced by survivors of human trafficking, will begin at 12:30 p.m.. This film is a powerful reminder of the importance of awareness and advocacy in combating this global issue.
