TCC Gadsden Center Connects Residents to Healthcare Professions

Tallahassee Community College’s Gadsden Center and Sunshine Health have formed a partnership that will provide 60 Gadsden County residents with full scholarships to earn a post-secondary credential in short-term healthcare programs. The programs that will be targeted are Nursing Assistant and Home Health Aide, two fields in high demand locally and statewide.

U.S. Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Economic Development Dr. John Fleming announced today that Tallahassee Community College (TCC) is receiving a $1.2 million grant to support the Welding Technologies Laboratory (WTL). The WTL project will provide a state-of-the-art “hands-on lab” for students taking welding courses at the College’s Kim B.
