Financial Aid for Online Students

Student Financial Services works with TSC Online to ensure distance learning students receive the same services and support as students on campus.

We provide accurate and complete information, address your specific situation, and provide the assistance you need.

For your security, all correspondence with our Student Financial Services Office is sent to your TSC email account. Please monitor your TSC email accordingly.

How is attendance checked in an online class?

Your professor will have an activity during the first week of class. This will allow instructors to verify your attendance for financial aid disbursements to occur.

The number of eligible classes you have verified attendance for will reflect your enrollment status.

Does Satisfactory Academic Progress apply to distance learning students?

Satisfactory Academic Progress applies to distance learning students.

The standards for every student are checked at the end of each term. Failure to meet the established standards may result in the cancelation of your aid, even if you have been awarded for that term.

When are the financial aid deadlines and disbursement for online students?

Last Day to Complete a Financial Aid file

Financial aid files, all the documentation (including the FAFSA) required to be awarded financial aid must be completed two weeks before the fee payment due date. If you miss this deadline, be prepared to pay out-of-pocket for classes.

Financial Aid Disbursements

Online students have the same disbursement schedule as on-campus students.

Disbursement for eligible classes of verified attendance will begin no sooner than 21 business days after the start of class.
