The Federal Work-Study program allows students to earn money to pay for college expenses while gaining valuable employment experiences. The program provides part-time job opportunities on or off-campus and is need-based.
Students can work up to 25 hours per week based on their Federal Work-Study allocation. Students are paid at an hourly rate and paid once a month according to TSC’s payroll schedule. Students may not work during scheduled class time.
How do you apply for Federal Work-Study?
To be awarded for Federal Work Study, you must fill out the FAFSA. If you are eligible, your award will appear in your workday account. Federal Work-Study is awarded on a first come first serve basis.
- Accept your Work-Study Award on Workday. You can see if you are eligible and accept your award under "Accept/View Awards". Instructions can be found on MyTSC.
- Attend TSC’s Federal Work-Study Orientation. Work-Study Orientation sessions can be found on MyTSC on the TSC Federal Work Study Job Board under the 'Events' tab. Orientation is mandatory to participate and must be attended every academic year.
