Federal Work Study

What is Federal Work-Study?

The Federal Work-Study program allows students to earn money to pay for college expenses while gaining valuable employment experiences. The program provides part-time job opportunities on or off-campus and is need-based. If you have not been awarded Federal Work-Study and would like to participate, you can request an award by contacting the Student Financial Services Office.

Students can work up to 25 hours per week based on their Federal Work-Study allocation. Students are paid at an hourly rate and paid once a month according to TSC’s payroll schedule. Students may not work during scheduled class time.

How do you apply for Federal Work-Study?

  1. Accept your Work-Study Award on Workday. You can see if you are eligible and accept your award under "Accept/View Awards". Instructions can be found on MyTSC.
  2. Attend TSC’s Federal Work-Study Orientation. Once you complete the steps above and accept the Work-Study award, Zoom orientation sessions can be found on MyTSC. Orientation must be completed every academic year.
